Neighbourly Love: An OQ Guide to London’s Covent Garden

Neighbourly Love: An OQ Guide to London’s Covent Garden

OQ’s been lucky enough to call Neal Street home for several years now, with a boutique on the famed cobblestone road since 2014, but just last month, we moved our London flagship down the street to 35 Neal to be closer to the heart of the Seven Dials community.

With our new Neal address comes a renewed appreciation for our vibrant Covent Garden community – just a hop, skip and jump away from the Jubilee Market Hall, you’ll find the charming cafes, restaurants, shops and showrooms that comprise Seven Dials. We’ve listed a few of our faves below so you can get to know our neighbours after your next OQ visit:

Neal's Yard Dairy
The Neal’s Yard Dairy is one of London’s most iconic cheese shops, marking the secluded entrance to the famous Neal’s Yard – a favourite spot of Londoners and tourists alike. https://www.nealsyarddairy.co.uk/

St. John’s Neal’s Yard Bakery
Venture into the beating heart of Neal’s Yard to find a rainbow of heritage buildings housing everything from pizzerias to day spas. Follow the delectable smell of fresh pastries to the shutter-lined doors of St. John’s Bakery, lovechild of London’s praised St. John Restaurant. Oh, and FYI: leaving this location without a donut is sacrilege. https://stjohnrestaurant.com/a/restaurants/bakery

Monmouth Coffee
Monmouth Street is something of a skincare haven, with sweet smells flowing from perfumer, Miller Harris, as you scale the road’s narrow sidewalks. It’s here you will also find the iconic Monmouth Coffee shop. Let the perpetual queue out the front door speak for itself. Natives and visitors agree: this java’s the best in town. https://www.monmouthcoffee.co.uk/

Larsson & Jennings
Cross over the dial to the other side of Monmouth Street to find innovative timepiece maker, Larsson & Jennings. Their minimalist gallery-like space is a delight to step into, and their quality, fairly priced watches are oh-so-fun to try on. https://www.larssonjennings.com/

Magma
A Seven Dials staple (albeit one that moves around occasionally), Magma is an essential pit-stop for the discerning shopper seeking a hand-printed card, special gift or niche magazine. It’s easy to enter, but infinitely harder to leave (without buying something, of course). https://magma-shop.com/

Ollie Quinn
You can find our Covent Garden boutique nestled beneath the trees and flower planters at 35 Neal Street. Look for a pink shop front mid-way down the street. We can’t wait to see you!
